Former North Gwinnett Bulldog forward now playing for Georgia Tech Hockey receives an award.

Congratulations to the Shawn Montague award recipient, Matt Connelly!

The Shawn Montague award is annually given to the top Georgia Tech Forward, as selected by the coaching staff. The 2019-20 recipient is an individual who displayed prowess in all aspects of the game, and someone who was counted on in virtually every situation, whether it be even strength, power play, penalty kill, or defensively late in a game preserving a slim lead. Still only a Sophomore, he led the team in scoring with an impressive 28 goals, 15 assists, and 43 point in 26 games played. Not only is his on ice contribution among the best in the SECHC, he maintains a 4.0 GPA in the classroom as well.
